The HSE Academy’s main competitive advantage is the emphasis we put on the connection between theory and practice. We provide training based on a well-founded understanding of HSE at the university level, which enables your company to convert your company’s HSE objectives so that they will also include an element of value creation. In practical terms, this means that we do not provide educational services for the sake of knowledge alone – we closely integrate learning with each client’s strategic and value creation related processes.

All our training programs are specially designed based on each client’s HSE strategies and system of organization, and the training is focused on those areas of knowledge as relates to HSE in which there is the greatest need so that our clients will achieve clear benefits from their investment.

Our training programs are intended to help our client’s organization to modify the behavior of personnel and more easily implement ”best practice” in work related to HSE and thereby lay the foundation for the development of the preferred organizational culture in both general terms and as regards HSE culture in particular.

Flexible Studying Using e-Learning

The foundation for a good HSE culture necessitates learning over a period of time and that allowances are made for the required maturing processes. That is why we recommend a combination of interactive and engaging e-Learning modules along with gatherings that are lead by experienced lecturers when your company’s workload is heavy and time is precious. This represents a flexible form of studying which experience shows to give better results than learning that is based on either gatherings or e-Learning alone.

Formalization that Includes Study Credits

The high degree of course customization we offer our clients entails training programs which do not consist of a single component – rather our programs can cover multiple levels and degrees of difficulty. If desirable, our various courses and training programs can include the opportunity to earn study credits and thus count towards earning a Master’s degree.

We recommend that our clients give their employees the opportunity to earn study credits and/or internal certification through our training programs – this helps to increase the level of motivation among individual participants while also allowing our clients to formalize specific roles and define key requirements within their respective organization. The formalization of competence is made possible through our collaboration with the University of Stavanger.
