A Need for Formal Competence

An increasing number of organizations are realizing that they need competence enhancing measures which provide formalized competence. Formal competence ensures that course content maintains a high level of professional integrity and is often based on the results of cutting edge research in the real world. All our courses will consist of a combination of theoretical base that is solidly linked to experiences from current practices.

Through our collaboration with the University of Stavanger, we have assembled a course portfolio which allows you to earn up to 30 study credits towards your Master’s degree. Of course, our courses can also be completed without study credits being earned. In practical terms, this means that we put less emphasis on the academic and theoretical aspects of the course subject and instead put the focus on practical approaches. The courses will still maintain a high level of professional integrity and will naturally be of comparable, high quality.

Each course module consists of a standalone unit and may be completed as an individual course. Each individual course allows you to earn 5 study credits, and should you choose to complete an entire training program (consisting of HSE Module A, 3 elective courses among HSE Module B to G and finish off with a written project assignment) you will have earned a total of 30 study credits as awarded by the University of Stavanger. Please note that other topics can also be developed if desirable, including but not limited to the following; HSE Introduction, HSE Directive Training, HSE Discipline Procedure Training and HSE Statutory Skills.
